Metal Sculptures of Cartagena

This city is full of whimsical, emotional, and playful artwork. I especially enjoyed the metal sculptures scattered around the old city. Here are a few of my favorites:

This reminds me of the chess players in Harvard Square :)

This is the 3rd dog we have seen here (the other two were real).

Dear Chris and Eva,
We found Columbia on the map. It's in Northwestern South America. There's lots of water around it. We quess that the earliest enemies who searched for and buried gold were pirates. There's a movie and a Disney ride called Pirates of the Caribbean! That helped us guess! We are excited about hearing from you.

Great job class 2A! Colonial Cartagena's earliest enemies were the pirates! We'll write agin soon:)

What interesting and beautiful sculptures It looks like an amazing city but maybe they don't like pooches?

I don't know why there weren't many dogs. Maybe it's too hot? In fact, there weren't many dogs or cats in the city. We saw one stray sleeping in Bolivar Plaza and then one little girl (maybe 4 or 5 years old) was walking a tiny short-haired mutt on a tiny leash (it was pretty cute).

We are in Lima now and everyone is walking their dogs along the Malecon in Miraflores. It's so beautiful!!
